Zomato raises the platform fee to 12 rupees of 10 rupees for each request

Zomato raised the platform fee on food delivery orders from 10 rupees to 12 rupees per request. This height comes at a time when the company expects an increase in the holiday season.

According to reports, these fees also include goods and services tax (GST).

Swiggy, Zomato competition, has increased platform fees to 14 rupees, including GST, in specific pin symbols. Both food delivery platforms have presented these drawings in 2023 and increased them at intervals since then.

The food delivery platform completes about 2.3-2.5 million requests per day. With the new platform fees of 12 rupees, this translates into 3 rupees every day in the company’s revenue.

Meanwhile, Parent Eternal reported strong financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 26. The company recorded 67 percent growth on an annual basis and 22 percent growth over a quarter of a quarter in modified unified revenues, reaching 7563 rupees in the first quarter.

Quick Commerce was the main engine, as the net demand value increased by 127 percent on an annual basis and 25 percent over a quarter of a quarter to 9,203 rupees. This is the first time that the value of the rapid trade arrangement has exceeded the value of food delivery.

During the quarter, Ertnal added 243 new new stores, as the total reached 1544. The company started adjusting its expansion to focus on operational efficiency. The profitability also showed an improvement, with margins from -2.4 percent of the net value value in the previous quarter to -1.8 per cent.

The Eternal’s unified profit for the quarter of 2025 in June 90.12 % fell on an annual basis to 25 rupees from 253 rupees in the same period last year. However, this decrease has been compensated due to the growth of strong revenue, which increased by 70.40 percent to 7167 rupees, driven by the rapid growth of rapid trade trade, flashing.
