Zenimax Union continues an initial agreement with Microsoft

Union quality guarantee workers on Zenimax Media It was announced today that they have reached a temporary contract agreement with Microsoft, the parent company of Zenimax. The workers, who represent telecommunications workers in America, spent two years negotiating this contract, and who say “specify new standards for industry” including new wage agreements and policies on artificial intelligence tools.

According to the Federation, the new agreement includes the minimum new wages, increased wages in all fields, protecting arbitrary separation, grievance procedures and a new policy that guarantees the inclusion of quality guarantee workers in the game credits. The agreement also includes pre -agreed rules on the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace.

CWA had previously reported that long negotiations were not going on due to disputes over work practices. Even the union members voted to vote on a strike in April, noting that they were unable to reach an agreement with Microsoft because of the lack of remote work options and replacement of internal workers with external work.

“Workers in the video game industry again explain that the collective force is working. This agreement shows what is possible when workers stand together and refuse to accept the current situation. Whether they have an opinion about AI in the workplace, we are fighting for support,” Cwod Cameting’s president said in a statement.
