Xrobotics robots cook 25,000 pizza per month

Xropotics is not the only company that tried to insert robots into the restaurant industry – nor the only company that focuses on pizza.

The startup recently raised a $ 2.5 million seed tour led by Finsight Ventures with the participation of SOSV, Mana Ventures and Republic Capital. Rodionov said the company will use the capital to produce more units and install more robots for customers.

Robionov said that Xrobotics are committed to the pizza industry, at least at the present time, given the huge size of the market – there is more than 73,000 pizza chains in the United States alone. The company plans to expand in Mexico and Canada next.

“I love pizza, the co -founder too,” said Rodionov. “We have tested any pizza in San Francisco. Also, we test the pizza in New York and Chicago.” Rodionov added that a Detroit pizza, known for its square shape and crunchy cheese, is his favorite.
