WWE almost canceled a huge championship match due to a superstar’s medical issue. It almost ended up not happening.

Stephanie Faker She talked about how her match was almost canceled before she won the Women’s World Championship. I talked to PWinsider Reveal what happened. Head to WrestlePaloosisIYO was supposed to face SKY to wrestle for the vacant World Women’s Championship. However, she wasn’t able to enter the match as easily as she wanted.

She said she had been sick for three weeks before the game and had a bacterial infection in her throat. The WWE medical team ended up helping her a lot, but there were three days where she couldn’t eat or drink.

“I was sick for three weeks before my match, but I was really sick. I had bacteria in my throat. Something really weird. I couldn’t eat or drink anything for three days. I felt so weak, so bad, but the whole WWE medical team helped me and supported me so much.”

Stephanie Faker went on to say that the company almost canceled her match because the medical team said she had not yet been cleared. She promised them that she was ready, even though her body was not feeling well at the time. She really wanted to wrestle in the match because she knew she would make history.

“They almost canceled my match because the medical team said, ‘You’re not ready yet.’ But I said to them, ‘Please, I promise I’m ready.’ Maybe I didn’t feel really good. My body felt weak, but I said, ‘I need to fight this match.’ I need to make history. Sometimes you need to fight with your heart, not your body. (h/t) PWinsider)
