When Garuda Aerospace was launched in 2015 with a five -member team, a few of the scale could have been predicted in less than a decade. Now, the most valuable Startup company on India has received 100 rupees of funding from the series B from Venture Catalysts (VCAT), which led to the evaluation of $ 250 million. This is not just a financial teacher – it is a strategic leap that will become Garuda’s ambition to become a world leader in manufacturing the defense of original aircraft.
Garuda Aerospace, known for her fleet, is preparing a wide technology drone, to raise the infrastructure for its production and research. With more than 20 patents under her belt, startup allocates a portion of its new money towards expanding its intellectual ownership and preparing a new design facility that focuses on advanced drone systems.
This step reflects its broader role in supporting the defense ambitions in India and the initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Besides agricultural applications, Garuda builds systems with more than 85 % of the content of the indigenous population despite facing the challenges of the show, which increases its inclusion in national priorities.
The evaluation B, with a pre-money evaluation of $ 250 million, follows its previous evaluation of $ 100 million during the series A in 2022-23. Cricket player, Mrs. Donni, who joined the investor and ambassador for the brand in September 2024, witnessed the round with great momentum.
Central to Garuda is the growth strategy in Garuda in the new 35,000 square feet, which was developed with Tata Elxsi and other partners, which will serve as an extremist research and development center and test center. This complements its own manufacturing base in Chennai, which constitutes the backbone of its ecosystem for innovation in devices.
Garuda also participates in the Hal and Beml defense manufacturing and works on the Lean and ASSET-Light model, which leads to impressive financial statements-a total of 30-32 %, 24 % of EBITDA, and 15 % PAT. Revenue increased from 2 rupees in FY20-21 to 122 rupees in the fiscal year 24-25, with 2-3X growth expectations for the fiscal year 25-26.
“This funding from the series B is a distinguished teacher on the growth journey in Garuda Aerospace,” said Agishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO. “It not only enhances our ability to expand manufacturing and innovation, but also puts us in accelerating the development of drone technology from the next generation.”
Adventure stimuli sees a similar promise. “The role Garroda plays in strengthening the ecosystem to defend the indigenous population in India, while also creating a global imprint, it is something that really raises us,” said Abufa Ranjan Sharma, co -founder and VCAT.
GARUDA’s successful success story is transferred in the prosperous drone market in India, driven by applications across sectors and strong government support through policies such as 2021 drones and PLI. The startup continues to diversify its customer base – from Swiggy, Flipkart to NTPC and Lockheed Martin – with DAAS solutions and experimental training across 84 cities with a fleet of more than 400 drones.
