With thousands of sports enthusiasts in queues in Wimbledon doors every year, Sky Sports’ Alex Etone had a unique experience in the first waiting list. His experience shares lining up and sleeping in tents and watching incredible tennis …

The tent with a tent began with Wimbledon High Street at a temperature of 30 degrees does not look like the best idea.

But the decision will be worth it in the end.

When we got to Wimbledon’s waiting list, we saw hundreds of tents lining up with sports fans waiting for Night so that they could enter the floor the next day.

We arrived at 5 pm on Monday, June 30, and we got a waiting list the next morning, we put us in 590th.

The plan was the camp for two nights with my friend Sam so that we could get the best opportunity to reach the central court.

With the passage of evening, we met with many waiting lists, playing paper games and exchanging Wimbledon memories. Suddenly, we heard applause followed by an incredible choir.

Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir has appeared to enhance the morale of thousands of people who have now joined the waiting list. There was an urgent need after trying to put our tents at the burning heat.

The temperatures are so severe that they recorded records for being the most important day of opening in the history of Wimbledon and forgetting that the sun’s rays were sorry.

After sleeping a harsh night, we woke up by the volunteers telling us to form a new waiting list for the next day.

We have extended our painful backs and pulled our tents to the beginning of the line and our creativity, no one had the same idea before us, and we were in the main place for the next day.

At this stage, we knew that we are guaranteed to reach the central court and create many special memories.

The second day flew the past. We have made more friends, and hundreds of people came to us asking how we got to the front. Some called us a “crazy”, and others said that we are “dedicated”, but I think the correct word was “unpleasant smell.”

We went to search for the bathroom and found one that we could use in the gym, 10 minutes’ walk from the waiting list. The atmosphere was so hot in the sun that we finished using it twice. For the rest of the day, we dealt with celebrities as media companies came from all over the world and conducted an interview with us about our story on how we did so.

With dusk again, we had one great decision to make it before we called it a night.

Cameron Nuri was playing the role of Francis Tiavoy in the first court, and this was the main game that we wanted to see. Therefore, we abandoned our chance to sit at the center’s stadium to watch their match.

However, we produced a major plan to ensure that we are still able to reach the center’s court.

“Good morning, wake up,” the volunteers said at 5 am on Tuesday.

It is time to put our tents and go to the ground. Although we woke up at dawn every morning, the volunteers were incredibly beneficial and very well organized, and we thanked them while we left the waiting list.

After collecting tickets for one court, we rushed directly to the list of waiting for a re -sale to join the list to obtain court tickets later in the day.

This put us in last a line; However, this time, fortunately, one virtual!

Once we got to the ground, we wandered around the courts and visited many food and drink stalls as a lot of Pimm and Strawberries were devour.

We met with our new friends that we made in the waiting list, Louis and Joe, and we occupied our seats and watched the British No. 2 Nuri defeat Tiafoe in a great match of four groups.

The luck was next to us, as is the case immediately after that match, we received a notification that the tickets of our center court were ready to collect and we only had to pay 15 pounds for them.

This means that we should see the hero of referee Carlos Alcaraz playing against the elastic Oliver Tarfit. The Spanish was very good for the young British. When I sat and waited and waited Consistency to start, I noticed some famous faces in the royal box.

Thomas Tuchil, football director of England, England’s worship Tommy Fleetwood and many stars! However, one of the celebrities in particular was the attention of the cameras.

Olivia Rodrigo was there, and I knew that I had to try to get a picture to show my girlfriend.

I wandered at the Royal Square out of the chance to see it, however, many people had the same idea like me, and unfortunately, I could not get a picture. I think it was Bad idea, right?

While waiting for the main headlines of Glastonbury, I collided with Antonee Robinson, and I told him that I am a fans of Fulham and not to leave Craven Cottage.

After another wonderful match at CONTER COURT, which you watch No.1 British no.1, Radocano, 2023 Fondroa champion, has come, it’s time to return to the camp site, collect our tents, ready to return to the house and catch up long hours of lost sleep.

Every minute of the waiting list was worth it at the end, as we spent a great day to see some of the best players in the world.

It was very good to go back 100 percent next year and I will return to a queue again this year to watch the quarter -finals!
