WhatsApp is adding new features including creating new stickers from selfies, sharing sticker packs, and adding new camera effects. Stickers and camera effects are good engagement tricks to keep users engaged with their contacts.

The chat application added the ability to Create custom stickers from last year’s photos. Now, the company is adding an option to turn selfies into stickers directly. With the new update, you will see the camera option when you click the “Create Stickers” button within the stickers menu. Then, you can take a selfie, and the app will turn that photo into a sticker and save it in your sticker tray.

WhatsApp is also adding a way to share links to sticker packs directly, so you can share your favorites with your friends.

Moreover, the Meta-owned app adds 30 backgrounds, filters, and effects to photos and videos. The app launched filters for video calls last year, and now it’s adding them to the WhatsApp camera. Many of these effects are similar to Snapchat lenses or Instagram filters.

WhatsApp is also adding a new way to reply to a message by double tapping on it and showing the most frequently used interactions.
