Since 2022, more than a million Ukrainians have escaped from their country and have come to Canada, and more than 200,000 settled in British Columbia.

However, they are now facing more disturbances after they learned that funding is close to its end.

“There is confusion and this is a fear of what will happen to us,” Zolotarov said.

The federal grant, which provides important programs and advantages for refugees, will end on March 31.

This means that the programs that help the Ukrainians learn the English language or train them in jobs will now be forgetful.

“They have hundreds, if not the thousand, from the Ukrainian displaced people who are currently receiving services, but they know that they will not be able to do so in just two months,” says Sarosh Rizvi, Executive Director of ASSA, the Association of Multi -Cultural Associations and Services. “There is no great plan at the present time to empty these services.”

Zolotarov said that many Ukrainians have not yet sufficient points to apply for permanent residence.

He said, “I think this is a very big gap.”

Currently, there are more questions than the answers about how this gap is blocked.

“Many people are currently receiving services, and many people are currently receiving services, and an hour beats.” Razavi said.
