Years after the Federal Trade Committee filed a lawsuit against Meta in an attempt to stop the Instagram and WhatsApp acquisitions, the trial whose future will be under implementation in the end. The trial started last month when CEO Mark Zuckerberg took over the situation, and is expected to last for several weeks.

Instagram in 2012 is an essential part of FTC case against Meta. The government says Zuckerberg bought Instagram to neutralize him as a competitor. When the Instagram founder and former CEO Kevin Systrom took the position, he did not defend this step. While Zuckerberg witnessed that Meta helped Instagram growth, Systrom witnessed that Zuckerberg saw Instagram “threat” for Facebook growth and the resources of the company that deliberately detained.
