This week, the media in France 24 is viewed by Hurricane Katrina and the press. The printing and broadcasting media runs special coverage on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the catastrophe. There are also at least eight new documentary films, including separate projects with large names such as Spike Lee and Ryan Cooger. There are still two common issues of ethnic and class issues surrounding the evacuation and response orders, as well as reporting this inappropriately – and sometimes inaccurately – covering the narratives of violence and looting. Our guests are the writer Clint Smith and film director Edward Backls, son.
