West Ham United is considering a swap deal to sign striker Vitor Roque

West Ham United could turn heads in the January window if recent reports are any indication.

The Hammers are linked with a player as well as a cash offer for rising Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, as manager Nuno Espirito Santo looks to bolster a frontline that has been badly hit by injuries and inconsistent form.

With Niklas Volkrug sidelined and limited attacking options behind Callum Wilson and Callum Marshall, West Ham may be plotting a move to add more firepower to their attack.

After developing through the youth ranks at América Mineiro, Roque moved to Cruzeiro in 2019 and achieved great success in 2021.

Later, he moved to Atlético Paranaense, where he scored 21 goals in 60 matches and was called up to the Brazilian U-20 national team and the senior national team.

In January 2024, Roque joined FC Barcelona for a huge fee of €30 million, but struggled to secure consistent minutes.

He was loaned out to Real Betis in August 2024, where he scored 4 goals in 22 matches.

In February 2025, he returned to Brazil with Palmeiras in a deal worth around €25.5 million, where he has revived his form by scoring 9 goals in 26 matches so far.

Due to financial constraints, West Ham are said to be exploring a swap deal Which includes Luis Guilherme as the added weight, complete with money to spruce up the move, according to Claret and Hugh.
