We will not be allowed to do a lot this summer

Robin Amomim says the summer transfer window in Manchester United will be hindered by the rules of clean financial play, and he admitted that it “will not be allowed to do much” to strengthen their team.

United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League after the 1-0 defeat against Tottenham in the European League final, and the loss of the accompanying financial surprise, means that the club must be wise in the market despite the clear shortcomings in the players who were reflected in the fifteenth place in the Premier League.

Amorim and his players are currently on the post -season trip to Southeast Asia, and the Portuguese admitted that the next few weeks may not see the flow of new players who hope many fans hope to do so.

He said: “We have always prepared two plans, one with the Champions League, one without the Champions League.

“Without the Champions League, we do not need a big team, we can better control the team, then we have a plan to bring some new players, of course, but our big plan is to improve the team that we have, which is to improve our academy, and this is the future, it will not change much.

“Since we have FFP rules, we are not allowed to do much this summer. It is important to stick together. We will struggle, not everything will be immediately but I see the team improving and this is the most important thing.”

Reports indicated that every United player is available at the right price with Captain Bruno Fernandez, a goal that was reported to the Saudi side at the end.

Fernandez has been a bright light amid the depression of the past few months, and Amorim repeated his desire to keep the Portuguese midfielder in Old Trafford.

He added: “You can see through performance, leadership, and passion he has for the game, it is really important. Especially in this type of moments.
