He also wrote that their lives in the European Union are characterized by limited social opportunities, rare access to familiar foods, and the long long winter with the minimum sunlight.

“Socially, it was completely isolated. There are no spontaneous matches, no good food (we miss Indian food a lot), no movies, nor sport – only two of us, talk to each other. 2 of my close friends moved to India this year, and they are very happy. Frankly, the only thing we look forward to is the return of our trip to India during the Christmas holiday.”

He added that his wife prefers to settle in Belgium in the long run and may retire in India at a later time, driven by fears of intense competition and systematic defects in the country.

Meanwhile, he feels a strong clouds to return to India during the next year, believing that emotional and cultural relations with the family outweigh the security of citizenship in the European Union.
