The innovations presented in the WBC Boxing Grand Prix can be implemented last month in the organization’s world title battles.

The event occurred, for boxers under the age of 26, last month with 128 athletes from 41 countries in four weight sections competing in Riyadh.

“We have instantly restart on many occasions with great success. We also presented an improved registration system, we had no clouds. Three battles tied with the judges, so we went to the improvement system. The appropriate fighter won.

“We do not want controversy. The worst thing can happen is injustice.”

Suleiman continued: “We have been able to test the enhanced registration in particular, and we are happy with what it appears because we are working on it for years with WBC officials, and now this has become a reality.

“Perhaps in the near future, we can see that he is also playing in the WBC Championship battles.

“All the fighters went to fight. They didn’t care about losing their unacceptable situation. They just wanted to advance.”

Linux Lewis, Jose Suleiman, presented the winners of the Grand Prix, the undisputed former heavy weight champion saying: “The dream of all the boxer in the world is the fight for the global WBC title and this tournament is a big step towards achieving this goal.”
