Speaking from the Vatican balcony immediately after being disclosed as the new Pope, Pope Liu fourteen praised his predecessor and called for unity.

Robert Brevost, 69, was chosen after the expansion of a two -day range in the Vatican city, the first American to lead the Catholic Church.

“We helped, help each other, build bridges,” he told the crowd from more than 40,000 people in Saint Peter Square.
