Viktor Gyokeres: Arsenal Strikeer on his critics and this celebration is preparing to face Manchester City | Football news

“No one cared about who I was until I put the mask.”

It is the famous quote from Bane Arch-Villain in the latest Batman trilogy, which has inspired the past few years of the Viktor Gyokeres profession.

Not only was the celebration that became distinguished in European football, but was an aura about the Swedish striker. It is dangerous, someone fears.

Gyokeres, who adopts this celebration during his days in Coventry, is a turning point for the attacker. He moved from a player who struggled in loan attacks in Swsi and Sky Blues – to a 20 striker in the tournament.

This model was transferred to Sporting CP in Portugal, bringing it 97 goals in 102 games to Arsenal and the Premier League.

“Yes, it is a little logical with how things turned to me!” Gyokeres Sky SPORTS tells – in an exclusive interview with Patrick Davison – about whether this goal celebration has changed his career path.

“After I started doing this, I started scoring more goals. And he made me do the mask often.”

Giokraz’s journey to Arsenal’s main journey was not straight forward. It was a winding way of ascending and landing – in many countries, including its homeland, Sweden and Germany.

It was in his homeland when he got the first doubt in the form of a trainer at a level of less than 14 years.

“It was early when I was in Sweden,” he recalls. “We had some matches in the region and I didn’t play well – and I think I did not seem annoyed that I did not perform in that particular game.

“He said that I had no mental part to make it in football. This is one stuck with me and I still remember it today.”

The scrutiny of Gyokers did not stop, even after his transfer of 63.5 million pounds to Arsenal. Today, the 27 -year -old still has his critics.

A few of them were silent with three goals in four games – which matches his Portuguese football score – but then left the offers in Liverpool and Manchester United a lot of what is desirable.

“It was different games,” he says about his start for the Premier League life. “Some games were more striking – where I couldn’t perform how I wanted. Perhaps it depended on how the game appeared. But I had games in which I felt satisfied.

“So it was up and down, but in general, I managed to score some goals and won most of the games. So it was a good start, but it might be better.”

After only one match – as Arsenal United beat Old Trafford – Giuers received criticism that he touched his hair more times than the ball. When he scored twice against Leeds after six days, he responded with a dust shaking celebration.

“You have to do your thing, you have to adapt to where you play,” he says. “You have to believe in yourself and continue, regardless of what is happening – whether it is on the field or abroad.

“I don’t think you have to take what everyone around you say. You don’t have to listen to everything you hear.”

When asked if the audit was greater here in other parts of his career, the Arsenal striker replied: “Yes, maybe? When I played in Portugal, there was also a lot. They live for football there too.

“So, it is a little similar, but of course it’s much larger here. They analyze everything you do. But this is the case, there is nothing wrong with it.

“Maybe it is not my priority 1 to read everything that is said or what people write. He just thinks about things that you can control and do these things correctly.

“Training every day, cross games, of course the things that bring you to the next game, and the things you can take care of your body. They are those things – and of course try to stop them sometimes.”

As Giokraz says, he just has to adapt to life in England – quickly. Although he has experience playing with England, he uprooted his entire life to join Mikel Arteta.

“You change a lot when you move to another country,” he says. “It is walking quickly, then the season begins after a few weeks, and you have to produce everything around you as well.

“This is the biggest change when you step like this, it’s not a specific thing – everything simultaneously. It’s a normal thing, but you just have to adapt.”

But there are some games where there is no time to adapt – such as Manchester City visit to the UAE, living in Sky Sports in Super Sunday.

The last time Giokraz faced Pep Guardiola team, scored a trilogy in the Champions League 4-1 for sports. The 27 -year -old is looking for another great performance.

“There are big teams in the Premier League, where you have to perform in these games,” he says.

“Those games are looking forward to that and want to win.”
