US Vice President JD Vance arrived in the Indian capital, Delhi, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid global trade tensions raised by Washington’s tariff policies.
The talks may focus on tracking a very student trade deal between the two countries.
Vance is also expected to go on a tour to see the city’s landmarks in Agura and Jaipur with his family.
His visit comes at a time when countries all over the world are rushing to negotiate commercial deals in front of US President Donald Trump for a period of 90 days on the mutual tariff on July 9.
“The two sides will also exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest,” said the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs before Vans’s visit.
Vice President is accompanied by his children and his wife, Usha Vans, whose fathers immigrated to the United States from the southern state of Andra Pradesh.
After arriving in Delhi on Monday morning, Vans visited the Akshardham Temple Complex in the city.
The Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the official talks later in the day, and Moody Vans will host dinner in the evening.
The visit comes amid the escalation of commercial tensions between Washington and many countries after Trump announced a very slope tariff.
Trump, who has repeatedly and repeatedly described Delhi as a tariff, announced a 27 % tariff for India before it stopped temporarily temporarily on April 9.

Speaking of Vans’s associations in India, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ranhair Jaiswal said last week that Delhi “is very positive that the visit will give another boost to our bilateral relations.”
