US President Donald Trump said the United States struck another ship off the coast of Venezuela, killing six people.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the ship was owned by “drug terrorists” and that it was “trafficking drugs.”
This is the fifth strike of its kind by the Trump administration on a boat accused of drug smuggling in international waters. In all, 27 people were reported killed, but the United States did not provide evidence or details about the ships’ identities.
Some lawyers accused the United States of violating international law, and neighboring countries such as Colombia and Venezuela condemned the strikes.
