The United Kingdom is planning to switch its basic list to New York in an attempt to attract more investors and increase its evaluation, and to deal with a new blow to the London market.
The company, which was included in Great Fanfare in London in 2021, said this step will increase its attractiveness to American investors and enhance expansion plans in the world’s largest economy.
“We believe that adding an initial American list would help us accelerate our mission and provide a large strategic and capital market to Wise and our friends,” said Wise, who announced the decision on Thursday.
Founded in London 2010 by Estonians Kristo Kärmann and Taaveet Hinrikus, about five company employees in the United Kingdom. Its decision was welcomed by the public in London instead of New York as a rare coup for the UK market.
wise It started as a provider of money transfers that undermine banks, but recently expanded their services to include interest products that belong to interest and discount card.
Wise said that the decision to transfer his main list to New York will be placed in the shareholders ’vote. The company intends to keep a list in London.
Wise’s decision is likely to feed the anxiety about the London market’s attractiveness, which historically struggled to compete with Wall Street.
In December, ASHTEAD Equipment Rental Group announced plans to transfer its list to New York, saying that the United States was its largest market.
