United States passengers in the United States faced a delay after the airline stopped flights at major airports due to a “technology issue”.
The main company’s land station was released from departure airports, causing airport problems including Chicago, Denver, Houston, San Francisco and New Jersey.
The company said at about 22:00 EST on Wednesday (02:00 GMT on Thursday) that flights were no longer based on the ground, but this disorder was continuing.
“The basic technology problem has been solved, and while we expect remaining delays, our team is working to restore our regular operations,” the airline statement at that time has been read.
More than 700 united flights were delayed from 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT), according to the aviation tracking site.
The flights that were already in the air while stopping the Earth were able to continue its destinations.
Regional flights were not affected, but United warned that it could be delayed due to traffic jams from stopping.
A passenger told Jessica Jeffrez, CNN was stuck for two hours on a plane in Denver, waiting to go to Newark, New Jersey.
She said, “It was very harsh here.”
Other passengers on social media complained about their ways to run the runway for hours while waiting for the news.
The BBC, CBS News, stated that the airline was treating the accident as a preventive delay, which means that it will cover some of the expenses incurred by passengers.
Transport Minister Sean Duffy said he was informed by United, and that the case “has nothing to do with the broader air traffic control system” in the United States.
