United Airlines announces ‘accelerated’ schedule for Starlink for passengers

The air carrier on Sunday announced an “accelerated timeline” for what it calls “the world’s fastest and most reliable connectivity in the sky.”

The airline’s Starlink testing will begin next month, with the first commercial flight with the service taking off this spring on a United Embraer E-175, according to a press release.

“We have a lot of plans for our MileagePlus members this year, and adding Starlink to as many aircraft as possible — as quickly as possible — is at the heart of it all,” United MileagePlus CEO Richard Nunn said in a statement. . “Not only will this revolutionize the experience of flying with United, but it will also open up so many new partnerships and benefits for our members that would not otherwise be possible.”
