UN reports are nearly 800 deaths near the relief centers in Gaza, and humanitarian convoys in the past six weeks

The United Nations Human Rights Office said on Friday that it had scored at least 798 killings during the past six weeks at assisting points in Gaza run by the United States and Israeli Humanitarian Foundation and near other convoys run by other relief groups.

GHF uses security and private logistical services in the United States to obtain supplies in Gaza, as they largely exceeded an unimaginable system that has allowed Hamas fighters to attack the aid shipments allocated to civilians. Hamas denies this claim.

The European Commission said on Monday that it had no evidence that Hamas is stealing humanitarian aid in Gaza.

After the death of hundreds of Palestinian civilians trying to reach the aid centers in GHF in the areas where Israeli forces operate, the United Nations described the aid model as “inherently unsafe” and violated the standards of human flavor.

“From May 27) to July 7, we scored 798 killings, including 615 in the vicinity of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites, and 183 on the road caravan road.”

GHF, who started distributing food packages in Gaza at the end of May after Israel raised the siege of 11 weeks of aid, told Reuters on Friday that the United Nations numbers were “wrong and misleading.” I have repeatedly denied that deadly accidents occurred in their positions.

A GHF spokesman said: “The truth is that the most fatal attack on relief sites has been linked to the United Nations convoys,” said a GHF spokesman.

OHCHR said it is based on its numbers on a group of sources, such as information from hospitals in the Gaza Strip, cemeteries, families, Palestinian health authorities, NGOs and their partners on the ground.

Shamdasani said that most of the Palestinians injuries near the aid distribution centers recorded by OHCHR since May 27 were fiery wounds.

She said: “We have raised concerns about the commission of atrocities and the risk of more atrocities that they commit as people line up to obtain basic supplies like food.”

Israel has repeatedly said that its forces are operating near relief aid sites to prevent supplies in the hands of the militants who were fighting in the war sparked by Hamas’s attacks on October 7, 2023.

GHF said on Friday that it had provided more than 70 million meals to the Palestinians in Gaza, hungry within five weeks, and that other humanitarian groups “looted all aid” by Hamas or criminal gangs.

The United Nations Office of Humanitarian Coordination (OCA) previously cited cases of its violent end of aid, while the United Nations Food Program said last week that most trucks that carry food assistance in Gaza had been intercepted by “hungry civil societies”.

There is a severe food shortage and other basic supplies in Israel’s military campaign, where a large part of the pocket has been reduced to the ruins and most of its population of 2.3 million.
