President Voludmir Zelinski says at least three people were killed and more than 30 people were injured in a “huge” Russian air attack on Ukraine.
He says that the regions across the country were targeted as part of a “deliberate strategy” to “intimidate civilians and destroy our infrastructure”, while reporting one direct missile on a residential building.
Air Force Ukraine says Moscow launched 619 drones and missiles. The Russian Ministry of Defense says that its “huge strike” used “precise weapons” and the targeted military industrial facilities.
Separately, Russia says four people were killed in the Ukrainian drone attack on the Saratov area. Kyiv says he hit a major oil refinery there.
Ukraine also says that another Russian oil refinery was damaged in the neighboring Samara.
The BBC was unable to independently verify the claims submitted by the two warring sides.
