In a statement on x, Zelenskyy called the process “A very wonderful result” she “was only achieved by Ukraine.”

He said that the task took “a year, six months, and nine days from the beginning of planning for effective implementation” and described it as “the most long process we have.” He added that “our people participating in the preparation of the operation were withdrawn from Russian lands in a timely manner,” and General Vasil Maleyuk, President of SBU, thanked the success.

Zelensky said that some details cannot be revealed yet, but he declared: “These are Ukrainian procedures that will undoubtedly be in history books … Ukraine is defending itself, and it is right in that.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the airports in five areas were attacked: Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur.

Russia described the strike as a “terrorist act” but said that its forces had believed the attack. However, the ministry admitted many planes, in which the fire was caught. Russian officials said that some of the suspects had been arrested.

Ukraine said 117 drones were used.

SBU claimed that 34 % of the strategic bombers in Russia had an estimated damage of about $ 7 billion. BBC’s monitoring stated that other Ukrainian experts have given a lesser than two billion dollars. These numbers have not been confirmed.

The attack occurred before the planned peace talks between Ukraine and Russia began on Monday in Istanbul, which supports it President Donald Trump, BBC mentioned.
