Ukraine and Russia gathered in Istanbul on Monday to exchange notes on a potential ceasefire to end Vladimir Putin’s war for three years, despite the Gulf’s survival between positions.

Delegations from Kiev and Moscow met at the Çırağan Palace on the second round of the talks in which Türkiye and the United States mediated after the peace process resumed last month for the first time since the first conflict.

Hakan Vian, the foreign minister of Türkiye, said that the two sides intend to discuss the ceasefire, and a possible meeting between the Russian President and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zellinski, and the exchange of prisoners.

However, the two delegations did not shake back and only made little progress in any possible deal, as Putin refuses to budge from his maximum demands.
