The UK will make the crime of owning, creating or distributing the tools of artificial devouring (AI) that generates sexual content targeting children.
The UK is scheduled to become the first country to present laws against the tools of artificial intelligence used to generate sexual images of children, in an attempt to reduce the phenomenon that Interior Minister Evet Cooper said is increasing.
The government announced on Saturday that it is illegal to possess, create or distribute artificial intelligence tools that generate abusive images, which makes it a crime that is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years.
The government said that artificial intelligence tools are used to generate sexual assault images of children through real “naked” images of real life or “sew other children’s faces on the current pictures.”
It will also be a crime that is punishable by imprisonment for up to three years to possess “sex evidence” from artificial intelligence that people teach how to use artificial intelligence to abuse children sexually.
The government said the new laws will also criminalize “predators who run web sites designed for other children’s patients to exchange sexual assault content or advice on how to prepare children”, which are punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years.
“This is a real annoying phenomenon,” Cooper told Sky News on Sunday. “Sexual assault on children on the Internet grows, but also about raising children and adolescents online. What is happening now is that artificial intelligence puts this on steroids.”
She said that the tools of artificial intelligence facilitate the perpetrators “to prepare children, and this also means that they are manipulating pictures of children and then using them to draw young people and blackmail them to more abuse.”
She added, “It is just crime premiums.” “Other countries haven’t done this yet, but I hope everyone will follow.”
Cooper BBC told Sunday that a recent investigation found that about 500,000 children across the United Kingdom are victims of child abuse every year, “The online side of this is an increasing and increasing part of it.”
Watch Internet (IWF), a British non -profit organization that focuses on controlling abuse over the Internet, warned of an increasing number of sexual assault images of children who are produced.
Over a period of 30 days in 2024, IWF analysts have set 3,512 photos of child abuse from artificial intelligence on one dark web site. It found that the number of the most dangerous category of images also increased by 10 percent a year.
