Uber released a new set of features on Monday that can remove some friction for people with service animals. The company now allows processors to notify drivers automatically that they are riding with a service animal.
in Blog postChris Yun, Uber’s producer director, wrote that he “joined Uber with a unique mission: to help expand access in Rideshare, including for those who depend on service animals.” He says it and other blind travelers often messages are introducing them to inform them of their service animals. New features today can automate if they choose it.
Drivers who think about refusing horseback will have to think twice – then some. If the driver requests a cancellation after identifying the service animal, Uber will automatically send a reminder within the application that doing so is not only Company policy But also the law. Uber says drivers refuse to ride with service animals “may lose access to the platform.”
Passengers who choose the new features will automatically receive a message after canceling the driver, asking what happened and providing additional support. Those who do not use the company feature can contact the company through the application or via the phone.
Passers can prepare feature through the Uber app. Go to Account> Settings> AccessAnd press Animal service. He will then ask you to fill the eligibility model and choose parts of the feature (such as the driver’s introduction in advance) that you want to run.
