Two Scottish men were killed in a shooting in a bar in southern Spain, according to Spanish officials.

A gunman launched several shots at the Monagans Bar in Fenegoreola, Andalusia on Saturday evening, before fleeing the scene.

Javier Salas of the central government in Malaga province confirmed to the BBC news, and it is believed that both men were Scottish.

Spanish media reported that officers from the specialized crime unit in the region are leading the investigation.

The regional Diario Sur newspaper reported that the attack took place after 23:00 when a car was withdrawn and a convincing man opened.

They said that both men died at the scene, and the gunman fled in the car.

Monaghans is located on the waterfront and is a famous bar with tourists and expatriates.

The bar was examined the UEFA Champions League final at the evening of the attack.

The police have not yet succeeded in any arrests, but they did not rule out that the killings were linked to the organized crime.

Scotland police said that he was unable to comment on a possible link to a gang conflict in Scotland, and he ordered investigations towards the Spanish authorities.
