The US government is facing a partial closure from Wednesday unless Republicans and Democrats are able to agree on the draft spending law.

US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with senior Republicans and Democrats in Congress amid a deadline waving on the horizon to maintain the funding of the federal government.

The Trump meeting with the leaders of Congress comes on Monday, as the United States government faces a partial closure from midnight on Wednesday unless the lawmakers are able to agree on the spending bill.

The confrontation comes after the US Senate Democrats rejected earlier this month the Stopgap Law formulated by Republicans to keep the government operating until November 21.

Democrats have argued that any draft spending law must include provisions for expanding healthcare coverage, including by the opposite of the discounts to Medicaid that were included in the law of the beautiful draft law of Trump.

Republicans argue that healthcare provisions must be treated separately as part of negotiations for the comprehensive spending package.

While Republicans occupy 53 seats in the Senate 100 members, at least 60 lawmakers must approve the spending laws in the upper room.

On Sunday’s interviews, the majority leader of the Republican Senate John Thun and the leader of the Senate minority, circulated the blame for the dilemma.

This planned gathering comes after Trump last week delivered a meeting with the leader of the Shomer minority and the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Hakim Jeffrez, noting what he described as “unwilling demands” by the Democrats.

If Democrats and Republicans fail to pass a draft law on spending by the deadline, federal government employees will not get wages during the closing period – although they will be eligible to obtain back payments – and those who are not considered necessary will be neglected.

There have been 14 government closure since 1980, according to the party policy center.

Most of these only lasted a few days. The longest closure in the history of the United States, which occurred in late 2018 and early 2019, lasted 34 days.
