US President Donald Trump has pledged to address any armed attack on Qatar as a threat to the security of the United States, according to a document published on Wednesday saying that American forces could enter to defend the Middle East State.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Trump’s order, describing it as a teacher in strengthening defense and bilateral cooperation.
The executive thing – which seems to deepen the American commitment to Qatar – comes after that Israel tried last month to kill Hamas leaders with an air strike on Doha.
This strike, which was launched with a little prior notice to the Trump administration, caused horror in Washington, given the American relationship close to Qatar, which hosts the largest American military base in the region.

The matter said: “The United States is looking at any armed attack on the region, sovereignty, or critical infrastructure of the State of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States.”
“In the event of such an attack, the United States takes all legal and appropriate measures” including the diplomat and economist, and if necessary, the military “to defend the interests of the United States and the State of Qatar and restore peace and stability.”

The document said that senior defense and intelligence officials in the United States will maintain emergency planning with Qatar to ensure a quick response to any attacks.
The neighboring Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always sought similar guarantees as part of Washington’s efforts to normalize relations between Riyadh and Israel, but such a deal has not been fulfilled. Last month, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a mutual defense agreement with Pakistan nuclear armed.
Gifted talented to Trump from Qatar
While the president can negotiate collective defense treaties such as treaties that have created NATO, they require the assertion of the Senate to become a law. Any executive order can be canceled by any American president in the future, and it is unclear what will force the United States to fulfill the commitment.
Trump’s order exceeds an order in 2022 by his predecessor Joe Biden, who identified Qatar as a major ally other than NATO, which allowed an increase in military cooperation, but it lacks the promise to defend Qatar if he was attacked.
There was no American military response when Qatar was attacked by Iran in June after an American strike on nuclear facilities in Iran.
In May, the Trump administration officially accepted a luxurious Boeing 747 plane as a gift from Qatar, and the army is working to prepare for its use as new air forces to transport the president. Trump rejected legal and moral concerns about the transportation of the plane.
Foreign Minister Marco Rubio visited Doha after the Israeli strike, and said that the augmented defense cooperation agreement with Qatar has been completed.
