US President Donald Trump said that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed “how to end the war in Gaza.”
Speaking at a White House press conference, Trump said it was a “historic day of peace” and insisted on “we are not very close”, when it comes to ending the war in Gaza.
In its 21 -point plan issued on Monday, the White House said that the United States will create a dialogue between Israel and Palestine and that within 72 hours of accepting Israel, all Israeli prisoners will be released.
If the two sides agree that the war “will end immediately”, according to the plan.
The White House said that Israel will not occupy or catch Gaza and no one will have to leave the tape.
The White House peace plan for Gaza, which was issued on Monday, is proposing an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas fighters and the return of all hostages, living and dead, within 72 hours of Israel, which publicly accepts the agreement.
The Israeli forces will withdraw to agreed lines to prepare for the captive version. The plan said that once all Israeli prisoners are launched, Israel will launch 250 Palestinians who spend a lifelong sentence and 1700 Ghazan who were seized after the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023.
It was not immediately clear whether the leaders of Israel or Hamas had accepted the plan.
