US President Donald Trump told Fox News in an exclusive interview on Monday that he credits US strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites with making the peace deal between Israel and Hamas possible.
Trump made the comments to Fox News Channel in Israel after Hamas released the remaining 20 Israeli hostages from captivity in Gaza.
“I think it really started when we destroyed Iran’s nuclear capability,” Trump told Lingest. “When you look at what they had, you can’t make that deal with someone sitting there holding a nuclear weapon over your head,” he added.
