Trefor Payne, winner of Dynona 500 2011, is scheduled to return to NASCAR Xfinity series. On October 11, Bayne will be behind the steering wheel in Toyota Gra SuPRA, the 24th of the Sam Hunt in Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which represents its first Xfinity since 2023.
For Bayne, this is not just a return. He already knows his way about Las Vegas in the Xfinity Competition: In six previous games there in the series, it is not worse than the eighth and has been published four of the five best times. This consistency gives a reason to believe that it may be a threat when it fits again.
The owner of the Xfinity series, Sam Hunt, talked about the Treenor Payne’s advertisement returning to his return and expressed what he will come to the table for them.
“It is always exciting to bring a trophy experienced driver. Trevor is not only understood where we are a team; but he wants to be part of our team’s growth process. He is a great man and he will be a great teammate in the team (Thompson) to accredit. We are all excited to enjoy together.”
The Trefor Payne’s journey in NASCAR is long and varied. He first appeared in Xfinity in 2009, moved to Michael Waltrip Racing, then to RFK Racing, where he won his first victory in his cup in DayTona 500 and the Xfinity victory in the same season in Texas Motor Speedway.
What happened in the return of Trefor Payne to the truck series in August?
Trefor Payne made the statement on his return to the NASCAR series of trucks last month, where he was leading the first rank Tiricone Garage Toyota in Serin or Selm 200 in the Darlington circuit. Nearly two years have passed since the last time he competed in any of the national chain in NASCACAR, but he showed that he still has speed, balance and design.
Starting at the sixteenth, after fragile exercises and a qualifying session, Payne worked on his way forward. By the end of the second stage, it was in the first ten places, and during the final range of green, he pushed to the first five places. He crossed the finish line in the fifth place, as it turned into a performance that surprised one of those who knew how much he competed when he gave the opportunity.
After that, Payne expressed his gratitude for returning to sport.
Well, I loved it. I am very grateful for the opportunity that I was helping. Victory Junction allowed me to drive this truck (number) 1. Legacy Motor Club, Tricon Garage, it was a joint effort, Toyota. I would like to be around the truck chain. I managed to do this with Fox in Broad Booth, I managed to work with all drivers. This tricon garage, “
Treenor Payne admitted himself to be tense. Despite winning the largest race in NASCAR, DayTona 500, Darlington’s special truck race may be among the most anxious areas in his career. Many of that came from his absence. His last start in trucks or Xfinity was in 2023.
