She also said that the series was “It grows at a pace That we can afford.”
Co-host Matt Sloan said Trader Joe’s appears to be “where the people are” as it identifies locations to open a new store.

“It may be an area where there is no Trader Joe’s currently available,” he said during the episode. “Even though it might be a really dense area and the traffic patterns are such that going from one Trader Joe’s store to another neighborhood, it might be close, but it could take a really long time, and that could be interesting.”

Trader Joe’s standards for locations “really are about access, ease of entry and exit and flow of traffic patterns,” he said.
Sloan also said Trader Joe’s “isn’t interested in growing by just buying another chain and putting a different brand on the building.”
