Tottenham defender Romero signs a new deal

Tottenham defender Christian Romero signed a new deal to stay in the club until the summer of 2029.

The 27 -year -old Argentina was linked to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, but he was named as a new club captain last week.

New President Thomas Frank said in Laso week that Romero was a major player.

“I see a great and very good player. What I like about and why I chose as a leader is his leadership qualities on the field,” Frank explained.

“There is a great respect for him from the players. Outside the field, as it determines the criteria.

“The employees told me that they have never seen him training well. He is in a very good place. I see a player who wants to lead the team and pay the team.”

Central Romero joined Spears for the first time in 2021 on loan from Atalanta before the conversion is permanently after a year.
