“There is no reliable information” Epstein fog for others: the head of the FBI

The FBI director, Cash Patel, told a US Senate Committee on Tuesday that there was no reliable information that Jeffrey Epstein traveled with women and girls at no legal age to anyone but himself, and seeks to defuse the criticism of the Trump administration’s step to end its review of the case.

Patel’s disclosure of the late financier and the convicted sexual criminal came when he was angry with questions from the Senate Judicial Committee about his dealings with the investigation of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kerk and the launch of veteran officials who claimed that they were removed for political reasons.

Patel told that the FBI investigation files on Epstein were limited because an American lawyer in Florida was incorrectly narrowed the scope of the investigation into Epstein two decades ago.

The decision of the Ministry of Justice in July not to release additional articles of the anger of many supporters of US President Donald Trump, who expected his administration to reveal links between Epstein, who died due to suicide while waiting for trial on charges of sex trafficking, and other wealthy and powerful people.

“We have issued all reliable information,” Patel said.

Patel was audited by current and former US officials after he was inaccurately published on social media on Wednesday that the person responsible for shooting Kirk, an important leader of the young conservative movement, was detained. The FBI later indicated that at that stage two people were interrogated and released.

The actual suspect, 22 -year -old Tyler Robinson, was not arrested until Thursday night. The first publication caused confusion in a moment of high political tensions in the United States

“Mr. Patel was very eager to find the murderer of Mr. Kerk to the extent that he violated one of the basics of effective law enforcement at a critical stage of the investigation,” said Senator Dick Dorbin of Illinois, the Supreme Democrat in the Judicial Committee of the Senate at the beginning of the session. “The director Patel has already caused countless damage to the FBI, which endangers our national security and public safety at risk.”

Trump publicly defended Patel’s treatment with the investigation.

Patel prompted the FBI, who traditionally sought to isolate his investigations from political influence, closely with Trump and his agenda. During the second period of Trump, the FBI removed dozens of senior officials, including those who have deep experience in facing national security threats.

The relevant agents speak

Two agents who recently shot released data before the hearing condemning their removal.

Former supervisory agent Christopher Maeer, who was expelled after he said that he was incorrectly linked to the investigation of Trump’s ill -treatment of classified documents, said in a statement that his loyalty remains with the United States constitution and “not for any political party, perfect or narration.”

Mayer said: “The principles of truth, fairness and legal procedures are an institution for this great nation, and the FBI worked.”

Three of the former officials of the FBI, including a former Acting manager, filed a lawsuit against them last week claiming that they were expelled because they were loyal to Trump. The lawsuit claims that Patel said separately that his job depends on the expulsion of officials who participated in Trump’s investigations, who faced two federal criminal cases during his years outside his post.

Patel said that any employees who were separated “failed to meet the needs of the FBI and support their constitutional duties.”
