“There is no law on two pages”: Amitab Kant calls for re -setting radical rules at the state level

Regulatory chaos in India needs radical cleaning, and no law should be longer than two pages. This is the message from the G20 Sherpa AMITABH KAN at the BT India@100 summit, where the state -led reform was paid and a ruthless simplification of the country’s bases, regulations and tax structures.

Kant said: “There is a decisive need to simplify the commodity and services tax system and eliminate unnecessary rules and procedures – especially at the state level.” “Even startups are only a long time to register. My main message: no rules, no policies, there are no laws more than two pages.”

Kant called for a national rejection of how the organization affects growth. “Countries should be the main engines of growth,” he said, adding that cutting the procedural red strip can open economic momentum. He stressed that simplification is not only central – it should be local.

In the macroeconomic strategy, Kant argued that India needs only 12 heroic countries by 10 % to raise national growth to 9 %. “You already have a growth coming from the south and west. Now the opportunity is in the East-AP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, JHARKHAND and Odisha. These are metal rich cases.
