In an e -mail message to the civil workforce in the Pentagon, said Jay Hurst, who performs the duties of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for employees and willingness, said that “the five lead exercise” will not be required, and that employees instead must provide at least one idea by Wednesday to help improve efficiency in the Ministry of Defense.
Other agencies have also started to end the weekly reports, including the National Health Institutes last month.

The workers were asked to make weekly reports that justify their work by inserting five things they made in the previous week, as part of the efforts made by billionaire Elon Musk and Doug – led by Musk – to eliminate waste in the federal government.
Musk, who recently announced that he is Return from Duj Focusing more on his companies, Tesla, Spacex and the social media platform X, on February 22, said that federal employees will be asked to start sending weekly reports for what they accomplished to the employee management office as well as their managers.
