Reese will make history at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday, October 15 in New York City, becoming the first professional athlete to walk the runway.

The Chicago Sky star announced the news on her Instagram account on Thursday, October 9.

“Entering the Dream: From Angel to Victoria’s Secret Angel,” Reese, 23, wrote at the time, alongside behind-the-scenes photos from a Victoria’s Secret photo shoot. “Finally, I’ve got my wings. I’ll be walking in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. Wings on, heels ready… catch me down the runway.”

The fashion show first began in 1995, and gained more popularity in 2001. It continued annually until 2019, when it was briefly halted after the brand came under fire for its lack of racial and body inclusivity. The show returned last year, in 2024. Reese was among the attendees at the reimagined show, which included musical performances by Cher, Lisa and Tayla.

Reese also shared how excited she is to be a part of the popular show via Instagram Story.

Reese previously said she wants to add modeling to her repertoire, in addition to her athletic accomplishments.

Reese also announced his collaboration with clothing and accessories company Juicy Couture, on Monday, October 6, via Instagram.

The Sky posted a congratulatory Instagram post for their star, showing a montage of her pre-match outfit from the season.

The announcement comes after Reece missed the Sky’s final three matches this season due to injury. At the end of the year, the team suspended her for half a match due to “statements that insulted the team.”
