At least five civilians were killed after Russia fired drones, missiles and air bombs in Ukraine throughout the night until Sunday, in a big night attack, officials there said the targeted civil infrastructure.

President Voludmir Zelinski said on Sunday morning that Moscow sent more than 50 ballistic missiles and about 500 drones to nine regions across Ukraine.

Four people, including 15 years old, died in a local strike on a drone and LVIV missile, according to regional officials and emergency service in Ukraine. The historical western city is often seen as a haven of fighting and destruction in the east. At least six other people were injured, according to a statement issued by the police force in Ukraine.

The strike left two areas without authority, and public transport was suspended for a few hours early on Sunday, according to Mayor Andre Sadofi. He added that the business complex on the outskirts of Levv was on the fire after the strike, describing it as a civilian facility that is not linked to the war effort in Ukraine.

One person was also injured in the Ivano Frankifk area south of Lviv, according to the local ruler, Svetlana UNishuk.

In the southern city of Zaporesvia, an air attack was killed by a civilian woman and wounded nine other people, including a 16 -year -old girl, regional governor of Evan Fedorov said. He said that Russia attacked drones and guided air bombs.

Fedorov said the strike destroyed residential buildings and left about 73,000 families in Zaporesvia and the surrounding areas.

Six people, including a child, in Sloviask, a major city in the eastern Donetsk region, which is still under Ukrainian control, was injured, after a Russian air bomb had passed to a residential bloc. They said that the Russian air strikes on Saturday evening damaged more than twenty residential building in Slovenk, as well as cars, shops and café.

On Sunday, Zelinski reiterated his invitation to Western partners in Kiev to send additional air defenses to combat Russian “air terrorism”.

“Today, the Russians targeted our infrastructure again, everything that guarantees that people can live a normal life. We need more protection and the rapid implementation of all defense agreements, especially on air defense, to make this air terrorism meaningless.”

Ukraine made several months of long -term strikes on Russia, many of which targeted the oil infrastructure in Moscow and contributed to the constant lack of fuel.

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinski used his speech at the United Nations General Assembly to appeal in the international community to condemn Russia’s aggression. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump seemed to change his accent when he said earlier this week that Ukraine could restore all its lands with the help of Europe.

For its part, Kremlin intensified attacks on the energy network in Ukraine before the winter, as happened in previous years since it was widely invaded on February 24, 2022. Kiev is called an attempt to a cold weapon by depriving civilians of heat, light and ongoing water.

Moscow has also climbed air strikes on the rail network in Ukraine, which is necessary for military transport, and hit them almost every day in the past two months. On Saturday, Russian aircraft struck a railway station in the northern city of Schustec, killing a person and wounding dozens.
