The White House website is basically a trailer for a Marvel movie now

It could easily have been anyone’s trailer for an endless series of Hollywood movies about threats to the life of a US president starring Gerald Butler or Morgan Freeman; Instead, it’s a 35-second hype video of The second presidency of Donald Trump.

Even before Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, his team had taken control of the official White House website. Just after midday ET on Monday, visitors were greeted with a graphic of the White House before an auto-playing video took up the entire screen, ensuring every visitor was clear on who was now in charge of the country.

When the video ends, it is replaced by a giant image of Trump pointing into the distance with the words “America is back” added on top.

The text on the site reads: “Every day I will fight for you with every breath in my body.” “I will not rest until we achieve the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and you deserve. This will truly be America’s golden age.”

that Archived version of the site From Sunday it appears that a photo of then-President Joe Biden sitting at his desk in the Oval Office appeared alongside the words “Biden Presidency.”

As one of his final acts in office, Biden announced in a press release posted on the website that he had preemptively pardoned some members of his family to prevent charges being brought against them through “baseless and politically motivated investigations.” However, the press release has now been removed from the site.

Biden pardoned his brother James, his wife Sarah, his sister Valerie, her husband John Owens, and his brother Francis.

When asked about the pardon on Monday, Trump said he wished Biden had not done it, but he did not want to comment further.
