White House spokesman Caroline Levitte said on Monday, after reports that the Minister of Defense participated in the March attack on the Houthi Houthi in Iran in a group of messages that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer.
“The president has absolutely confidence in Minister Higseth,” Levitte told reporters. “Trump spoke to him about this morning, and he is behind him,” Levitte told reporters.
Revelactions HegSeth used the non -classified correspondence system to exchange very sensitive security details for the second time in a minute for him, as senior Pentagon officials were expelled last week as part of the internal investigation of the leak.
In the second chat, Higseth shared the details of the attack similar to those that Atlantic magazine revealed last month after its editor -in -chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, was included in a separate conversation on the error sign application, according to Reuters on Sunday.
The second chat included about ten people and was created during the Higseth confirmation process to discuss administrative issues instead of detailed military planning. Among them was the brother of Higseth, who is from the Ministry of Internal Security to contact the Pentagon.
Levitte said that Higseth did not share any secret information about either the sign chat.
Speaking to the White House journalists on Monday, Higseth said: “I spoke to the president, and we will continue to fight on the same page along the way.”
The Trump administration’s national security team continues to deny that any classified information has been released after the full -text Atlantic Atlantic deployment of the Signal Correspondent Group that revealed US officials discussing air strikes against Yemen.
The last revelation comes days after Dan Caldwell, one of Higseth’s advisers, accompanied the Pentagon after his identity was determined during the investigation of the leakage in the US Department of Defense.

“We are incredibly disappointed with the way our service was ended in the Ministry of Defense,” as Caldawil was published on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday. “The Pentagon officials, whose name did not reveal our personality, undertook baseless attacks on our way out of the door.”
After the departure of Caldwell, the senior officials, Darren Celnik, who recently became the Vice President of the Hegseth Staff, was placed, and Kullen Carroll, who was the Chief of Staff of the Deputy Minister of Defense Steve Venberg, was placed on an administrative leave and shot on Friday.
