The White House said it is standing next to the Higseth Beit after the disclosure of a new signal conversation said that the US Secretary of Defense had participated in sensitive information about US military strikes last month in Yemen with family members.
On Monday morning, the Democrats called Higseth To step down, White House officials said that the US President continued to support the defense minister, a former host in Fox News.
Journalist Caroline Levitte told correspondents that Trump was “standing behind” Higseth and “has absolutely confidence in him.”
Anna Kelly, a White House spokeswoman, issued a statement saying, “No secret information has been shared.”
It also attacked the “recently released leaks” for what it described as “continuing to distort the truth to calm its broken vanity and undermine the president’s agenda.”
The New York Times reported on Sunday that Higseth participated in sensitive information about strikes in a chat group that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer.
The new accusations come after weeks from the Atlantic Ocean Published excerpts From a separate conversation group in which the magazine’s editor was added by mistake, in which HegSet has published a detailed timing of military strikes in Yemen.
