The report says that data from audio sensors and stress standards on board indicates that the structure has suffered from pollution after diving to Titanic in 2022, causing a high noise. Rush was said to have rejected this noise, and the report found that no one left in the company in 2023 was able to explain the sensor data adequately. The company’s engineering director resigned two months before the explosion.
“The authority has been unified in Mr. Rush,” says Newbauer. “There was no specific standard for how high the noise or noise number would make you get out of the service. I think it was intended. They didn’t want to get it out of the service in the end.”
The report contains many recommendations that will increase federal supervision of submarines managed by American companies. This will also be required to be accredited with third -party organizations, such as Lloyd record or the American shipping office, even if they are working in international waters like Titan. This would practically exclude a carbon fiber body building, as none of these organizations has not been classified as carbon fibers that have been overcome so far. “It does not seem to be the correct material because of the way it requires cumulative damage over time,” says Newpaore.
Tony Nissen, the original director of engineering in Oshngit, is wondering about the comprehensive criticism of the report of the carbon fiber and the audio monitoring system. It is noted that problems with Titan’s first body were partially identified, using audio sensors, which led to cancellation and replacement. “The design was not enough,” he says. ” “The monitoring has done in the actual time as designed and intended, but for the second body they ignored it.”
“We commend the American Coast Guard for its comprehensive work to confirm what industrial experts have long known for the tragedy of Titan-it was possible to prevent it. “The challenge now is to move forward, and build a better national and international organizational framework for submersible operations, so that the safety and responsible governance is the standard through this unique and complex industry.”
The Coast Guard report also affects the problems related to the research and rescue response after it lost Titan. Neuuer says that some of the organizations listed as emergency communications in Oceangate were not aware of the Titan diving plans, and that the company should have had a ROV robotic vehicle (ROV) capable of diving at the same depth of the clown.
Although the world was on TENTERHOKS during the four -day search and rescue efforts, Neuuer is skeptical that it could have succeeded.
“Although we eventually found that the submersible within the 96 -hour window that was announced, I don’t think we can recover the subconscious or people if they survived and were involved in the bottom,” he says. The ROV, which identified the debris only the minimum ability to move or liberate Titan, especially due to the presence of less than an hour of oxygen.
The Coast Guard report indicates that if Rush survives, he may be subject to a criminal prosecution due to neglect. No one else is determined as being investigated. However, WIRED reported last year that the southern province in New York was following a Criminal investigation In Oceangate, it may be related to its financing. The Ministry of Justice did not confirm that the investigation and its current situation are not certain.
Nargeoft relatives sue Oceangate, Rush’s Estate, and other Titan manufacturing in Washington state. Survivors from Rush, Nargeoint, and the paid passengers did not respond to the suspension requests.
Oceangate presented the following statement: “We offer again our deepest condolences to the families of those who died on June 18, 2023, and to all those who were affected by the tragedy. After the tragedy, the company has ended permanently and directed its resources towards cooperating with the Coast Guard by completing it.”
