The United States has revoked the visas of at least six individuals over their comments about the killing of Charlie Kirk, while the Trump administration continues its retaliatory campaign against what it describes as “left-wing extremists.”

The Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday evening that it had canceled visas for foreigners due to social media posts that “celebrated” the conservative party. The death of the political activist.

She added, “The United States is not obligated to host foreigners who wish Americans dead.” She also suggested that more would follow: “The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not respond to a request for further details. It was not clear how many visas were canceled in total, when the cancellation process began, and what types of visas foreigners hold.

The cancellation comes as the State Department expands its social media screening of visa holders and applicants amid a widespread anti-immigration crackdown. The United States has also canceled thousands of student visas since President Donald Trump returned to office in January.

The State Department posted on X that the six individuals were from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Paraguay and South Africa, and shared screenshots of the social media posts it cited in the cancellations.

The German’s post allegedly said “when fascists die, democrats don’t complain,” while the Argentine allegedly said they “did not care about the death of a person who devoted his entire life to spreading racist, xenophobic and misogynistic rhetoric.”

Earlier Tuesday, Trump posthumously awarded Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, at a ceremony in the Rose Garden of the White House. Kirk’s widow, Erica Kirk, accepted the medal.

During the ceremony, Trump said, “Particularly in the wake of Charlie’s assassination, our country must have absolutely no tolerance for this far-left violence, extremism, and terrorism.”

Utah authorities last month Charged Tyler Robinson, 22, is charged with aggravated murder for killing Kirk. Prosecutors said Robinson was motivated by Kirk’s “political expression.”

In appearance on Charlie Kirk Show US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said on Tuesday that his department was investigating unspecified organizations that the government believes bear responsibility for Kirk’s killing.

“Charlie’s death resembles a domestic 9/11… it alerted us to what Charlie knew, which is that these organizations operate within our borders,” Besant said.

Kirk’s death sparked a national debate about freedom of expression, after some employers fired and suspended employees over comments they made about the killing. It is worth noting that Disney has suspended comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! for several days due to his comments about Kirk’s death.
