Townsville field training area, Queensland, Australia The United States is expanding its military presence in northern Australia, as it looks forward to offering power and providing deterrent against the increasing threat to China in the Asia Pacific region. Chinese President Xi Jinping is believed to have ordered his armed forces Ready to invade Taiwan Island, by 2027, if necessary, raises fears of the conflict that can attract American forces.
In response to the expanding imprint in Beijing in the region, the United States witnessed Australia, a country about two and a half thousand miles south ChinaAs a major strategic partner.

In 2012, the first of nearly 200 US Marine Infantry revolves around the northern region of the country. Now approaches 2500 every year. The American military presence is now in the largest since 1945 at the end of World War II.
CBS News obtained access to the US Marine Corps Exercise, including Australian and Japanese allies in rugged remote areas, where preparations explode against Chinese aggression.
The exercise included the Australian forces playing the role of enemy fighters attacking a US Navy family. The exercises were conducted by more than 500 US Navy and more than 2000 soldiers in total, across a larger area of Maryland.
“Knowing how each other works is more important and being ready to respond is very important,” Major Nicholas Foss, an officer who leads the exercise with the marine rotation force, told CBS News.
Military experts say that the Chinese invasion of Taiwan is not inevitable and that China may want to avoid war, especially with the United States, but the armed forces in China are going through an unprecedented modernization – from aircraft carriers to super woolen missiles.
While the main goal of the United States and its allies in the region is to deter any potential Chinese aggression, Brigadier Bin Maclinan, Commander of the Australian Defense Forces, told CBS News that they are preparing for the worst possible result.
“Every time you adhere to such an exercise, it is a rehearsal – and it treats it as the last opportunity to do this before the war arrives,” he said. “A rehearsal of the war has not seen it since World War II.”
