Iran says that 120 of its citizens are deported from the United States, as part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to emigrate.

“These individuals will return to the country within the two or two days,” said Hussein Noshabadi, the Iranian Foreign Ministry official in Iran.

He called on the US government to “respect the rights of Iranian immigrants and sexual rights under international law.”

The New York Times, two of the two senior Iranian officials who are familiar with this issue, said it was expected that the journey of the deportees will reach Iran later on Tuesday.

President Trump has repeatedly pledged to reduce the flow of immigration to the United States and intends to deport a record number of people living in the country without legal status – including countries that have controversial human rights records.

He promised to “launch the largest deportation program for criminals in the history of America” ​​- but it is not known whether Iranian citizens who are deported have criminal records.
