Colombia’s general prosecutors open an alleged plot to overthrow President Petro with a sharp deterioration of relations.

The United States and Colombia described the home of senior diplomats in the acceleration of relations, against the backdrop of an alleged conspiracy against the Left Colombia leader.

“Follow -up to the highest levels of the Colombia government,” Tami Bruce, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “In the wake of the unimportant statements from the highest levels of the Colombia government,” said Tami Bruce, a Foreign Ministry spokesman.

In addition to calling McKinama, Bruce said that the United States “is continuing other measures to clarify our deep interest in the current situation of our bilateral relationship,” without further details.

Within hours, Colombia President Gustavo Petro announced that he was connected to a better diplomat in Washington, DC, in response.

Petro wrote about Ambassador Daniel Garcia-Banana, “He must tell us the development of the bilateral agenda,” such as taking advantage of “great capabilities for clean energy” for South America and the battle against “drug princes and their international money.”

The diplomatic ranks came in the wake of the resignation of the Foreign Minister of Colombia earlier on Thursday-the latest senior official in the Petro government.

Laura Sarabia, who was also the Chief of Staff Petro, wrote on X.

The deterioration of relationships

Until recently, Colombia was one of the closest United States partners in Latin America, with contracts of right -wing rule, before bilateral relations deteriorated sharply.

Prosecutors in the South American state opened an investigation this week in an alleged plot to overthrow Petro with the help of Colombian and American politicians, following its publication of Spanish Spanish Bess Bessatics Records indicating former Foreign Minister Alvaro Leva.

“This is nothing more than a conspiracy with drug dealers, and it appears that the Colombian and American extremist right appears,” Petro said on Monday.

During a speech, Pogota on Thursday, Petro said he did not believe that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was previously linked to the alleged attempt to overthrow, “in the midst of a coup” against his government.

He said: “I do not think that the government that Iran has as its enemies and nuclear weapons that he referred to … will start deceiving a coup in Colombia.

In late January, the United States briefly suspended the consular services to avenge the refusal of Petro to allow us military aircraft to return the Colombian refugees and migrants to their homeland.

Petro accused the United States of treating them like criminals, and put them in shackles and handcuffs.

The two countries have issued threats and threats of anti -commercial tariffs up to 50 percent.

A rear diplomatic deal that includes the deployment of the Colombian Air Force aircraft to collect refugees and migrants, avoid a commercial war looming on the horizon at eleven o’clock.

Alessandro Ramtti of the island, who was reported by Bogota, said that the first crisis between the two countries about the deportation of immigrants was quickly resolved in January.

He said: “It is clear that the current situation is very worrying because it is not clear what will happen in this case.”

“But this indicates that the relationships that have been considered a rejected matter may be collapsing now,” Rambeiti added.

The left -wing Colombia government recently rejected an American request to hand over two prominent rebel leaders by Washington, DC, due to the smuggling of alleged drugs.

Last month, it shook Colombia Bombing In Kali, in the southwest of the country, who killed seven people, and an attempt to assassinate the Senate member about the conservative opposition and the presidential hope, Miguel Urby Tourai, in a campaign in Bogota. The eruption of violence sparked fears of returning to the dark days of previous contracts, assassinations and bombings.
