The United States and Canada strengthens relations in pushing nuclear energy leadership

North American leaders and executive energy managers deepen border cooperation in a renewed nuclear power batch, as the United States and Canada were placed as strategic partners in global energy security.

Executive directors also made efforts to reduce dependence on foreign sources in enriched uranium.

“We have uranium from here, we have a conversion in Ontario … we are working on fertilization in Wilmengton, North Carolina,” said Tim Gitsel, CEO of Cameco.

“The United States needs an enrichment. Why? Because we have provided everything away to Russians and Chinese over the past 25 years. They hand over us to our lunch at the present time. We have to return it.”

Despite the increasing interest, there are still concerns about the high costs and long -time timelines for construction. Ann Johnson Stewart Senator in Minnesota raised questions about the ability to withstand costs after an American nuclear project that exceeded its original budget.
