UN officials and relief agencies have warned that famine in Gaza is now a reality, as children die increasingly hunger with the siege of Israel and bombing Continue prevent life -saving assistance.

In a blatant speech to the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, officials said that the widespread starvation and hunger in the besieged pocket is “designed” and “man -made”.

Joyce Msuya, Vice President of Humanity of the United Nations, told the Council that the famine has been confirmed in the north of Gaza, where Gaza City is located, and it is expected to spread to Deira Pala and Khan Yunis to the south by the end of September.

“More than half a million people are currently facing hunger, anxiety and death,” said Msuya. By the end of September, this number can exceed 640,000.

She added that at least 132,000 children under the age of five are at risk of severe malnutrition, as it is expected that more than 43,000 of them will face life -threatening conditions in the coming months.

“This famine is not the product of drought or a form of natural disasters,” said Msuya. “It is a disaster of creation – as a result of a conflict that caused huge civilian death, injury, destruction and forced displacement.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced 10 other deaths “due to famine and malnutrition” over the past 24 hours, including two children.

The outcome brings the total number of hunger -related deaths throughout the war to 313, including 119 children.

“Engineering Famine”

For its part, on Wednesday, Israel called on the system of classification of integrated food security (IPC), a mechanism to monitor the famine supported by non -profit organizations and United Nations agencies, to decline its results on Gaza.

Eden Bar Tall, the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, launched a report last week, which detailed a famine in Gaza City and the surrounding area, “very violating, non -professional, and has lost standards expected from an international body charged with serious responsibility.”

However, in a joint statement on Wednesday, all United Nations Security Council members – with the exception of the United States – stood beside the IPC and its work.

Meanwhile, in her reddish letter to the council, the Children Ageing Chief accused the global forces of collusion by failing to work.

“Gaza’s famine here. Engineering famine. Familiarity with man -making,” she said. “Children in Gaza systematically starve to death. This is hunger as a means of war with its most conditions.”

Aseng described clinics “full of children with malnutrition” who are now silent. “Children do not have the power to speak or even scream in torment. They lie there, and they are literally lost.”

He narrated how children’s drawings in saving children in Gaza turned from depicting the hopes of peace and education into simple desires for food, and increasingly, to death.

“As soon as the complete siege began in March, children will grow us increasingly that they want to get food and bread. In the past few weeks, more and more children have shared that they want to die,” she said.

One of the children wrote: “I wish I was in heaven where my mother was in heaven, there is love, there is food and water.”

The attacks continue

The specialized field hospital in Kuwait said that a strike on drones on the tents was unprecedented in Khan Yunis from southern Gaza, who killed three people, including a child and a woman, and wounded 21 others. Israeli strikes near the assistance distribution sites they run controversial The Israeli GHF and the United States killed at least 12 people on Wednesday, according to medical employees. Four of the victims died in the north of Gaza while waiting for small food parcels.

The attacks come with the continued closure of the Israeli forces in Gaza City, using impact In its pressure to occupy the urban center, with tanks and warplanes, the settlement of entire residential blocks.

On Tuesday, Israel brought down leaflets in the Asaftawi area and Al Jammal Street, which contains forced eviction orders to move to the south of the pocket.

In a post at X on Wednesday, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adrae again issued a widespread order of forced displacement, and the residents told “the evacuation of Gaza City is inevitable.”
